Are you all trying to warn off mere mortals before we get out of our depth?
Nah, mostly we just go flying.
However this is expensive and the weather doesn't always suit, so we can't
always be flying. When they can't actually fly, many pilots like to chat about flying. For some the "chatting" takes the form of "whining".
There are a couple of things we do warn people off though:
(1) Do Not Pay Up Front.
(2) Don't imagine that the day after getting your PPL you will be able to reliably fly yourself to business meetings etc.
