The reality is that Lufthansa has no interest in Cork. Even during the boom the only expansion carried out by them was at Dublin. If Cork wants a Frankfurt service it has a far better chance of persuading Aerlingus to operate it. The likes of Lufthansa and
SAS see Cork as just a dot on the map.
