Kavs8 - I can assure you I was on the flight. I was sitting in 8E and the passanger who needed assistance was about 5 rows behind me. Why would I make up being on the flight!
I'm not a pilot so maybe they were "go arounds" but we never got anywhere near the ground and the captain came on and told us we could not attempt to land and had enough fuel to hold for 18 minutes which we did. As I said I'm not a pilot and maybe they are classed as go arounds if you descend a certain amount. Apologies if I'm incorrect with this.
We got to Fuertaventura and got a double decker bus to the Elba Sara hotel (about 10 minutes from the airport). We got there at around 10.30 and I just made it to McDonalds across the road before it closed at 11pm.
