Yes, at last a day to be proud of for Cork Airport and I have also heard that some good numbers of the diverted pax from today and yesterday have been remarking favourably about Cork's new terminal some saying they did not think that Cork Airport could be such a good port of entry!
Well, the Celtic Tiger has maybe brought some good to Cork Airport in the years ahead.
Hope the crowd above at the airport have been kind to the Lufthansa crew. A two or three a week LH from Frankfurt would be just the shot in the arm that Cork needs right now. They even have the right kind of aeroplane for the job in the shape of 737-500, 737-300 or A319. Come on, it is a no brainer?
