LH Diversion
A bit of History this evening as Lufthansa used Cork as an alternate for the 1st time. They would have saved themselves a lot of bother by diverting earlier instead of landing in the U.K.
Many overseas airlines don't seem to realise that Cork is perfectly capable of handling diversions particularly since the opening of the new terminal and the even more new motorway to Dublin. Also Congratulations to the staff at both Aerlingus and Servisair and the OCC all of whom did a marvellous job in handling the unprecedented influx of diversions.
