a) been reading the website The Sky Steward, who's written a "Jetiquette" code for air travel
and b) Failed to notice that many airports have those yellow painted lines... which passengers promptly ignore.
What they need is those fences with openings so people go in as their bag comes and get out once they've got it. Or like one airport I went to, a security guard who screamed at people as soon as they put a foot over the line unless they were picking up a bag
