Daphne eyed the proffered tool keenly -

She allowed her fan to shimmer gently, her eyes meeting his momentarily before dropping demurely to puzzle over his footwear. 'Green wellies', she thought, 'how practical this man is!'
Captain the Honourable Musclemech followed her slowly, fingering the small corkscrew briefly before deciding on the spike as more likely to suffice.
Across the room Bentley, the butler, caught a faint giggle ....
