As far as I am aware there are no plans to enlarge the main apron.
Speaking to an ATCO friend last month, he tells me this is being discussed as an option in the near future.
The next related works would be the re-opening of Taxiway Alpha.
Alpha should have been open long ago, but due to certain circumstances it remains unavailable. Work on the other taxiways will start in the new year.
Did the ATCO's let anything slip speedbird? Do tell!
Sadly I didn't get a chance to speak today with anyone. I decided to avoid the place with all this snow business ongoing. I'll take a spin through next week sometime and see if I can get any info for us all.
SpeedbirdATC - that "Lovely" Challenger you saw at Eglinton, visiting from Stansted? N45PH? err it cancelled - it never visited! Are you sure of the type? could it have been a MIRAGE?
ALPHA ECHO I presume you think I'm seeing things, or do you really think I saw a fighter jet on the apron?
I'll double check with ATC next week and see if I mistook the Canadair for something else.
