One wonders if one would have had the required cojones to pull the trigger if confronted. Remember, the buggers have a habit of keeping coming even if you hit 'em dead centre.

PNG is a wonderful wonderful place and the vast bulk of the population are just great people. I have many, MANY VERY fond memories of PNG - but it has law and order issues that simply can't be ignored.
The only remorse I ever suffered was allowing my then wife to badger me into leaving my Glock at home on what turned out to be the night the aeroclub was attacked. I never left it home again.
