As a very frequent flier I would love for EI to tie up with the *A or ST but for the moment they don't so I drive to Dublin from Ennis and fly with LH or AF. Anyway way the new Premier on EI is very disappointing all because you cannot sleep on the new "nearly lie flat bed".
I would say the bigger barrier to sleep is the short flight times. BOS is about 5 and a bit hours eastbound, JFK pushing 6, ORD 7. In my experience (this was with three crew, probably even longer now) the meal service takes over two hours and breakfast another 80-90 minutes before arrival. On BOS, in particular, there is hardly enough time to snooze, let alone sleep! OK the seat is not completely horizontal, but it is flat, comfortable, relatively wide and long.More than adequate for the flight lengths at EI.
