411A We were talking about bits falling off aeroplanes, but since you mention QF I too believe it was a combination of a stuffed up approach, lack of Crew communication and a flawed preferred landing option in that QF had introduced Reverse Idle/25 Flap as the normal landing configuration. They had, however, not banned Full Reverse/Full Flap use. If you have read the full report as I have and earlier references to the event posted by me on this forum you would know that I have never tried to defend Qantas or the Crew whom did not seem to appreciate the runway conditions likely to be encountered. We are most aware of your feelings toward Aussies and Brits. Your contributions to Fragrant Harbour threads leave us in no doubt.
