air leaks

never done it my self, but remember a mate said to test or detect leaks on air ducts on engines is to rap aluminum foil around joints. then start up engine and leak will blow a hole thru the thin foil.
To use NDT developer chalk to detects leaks would be used to check for oil or fuel leaks from pipes joints.
