Hi, I've got my first stage test very soon but I have a problem.

I have recently been diagnosed with Crohn's, news I only received after I had already applied and passed the initial online test.

Now I'v looked at the NATS career site and it says the Gastro Intestinal Tract should be free of any significant disease.

I also looked at NATS ATCO Recruitment Standard Medical Clearence pdf and it says "an initial applicant who has an established medical history of clinical diagnosis of acute or chronic inflammatory bowel disease are likely to be unacceptable but may still be investigated and subject to the opinion of a gastroenterologist acceptable to NATS with the final decision on acceptability being made by TATC Medical Review Group (TRMG)"

I am currently on Asacol (mesalamine) and will be pretty much forever, am also taking a course of steriods until the middle of January. Now of course the thing with Crohns is that it could flare up every so often and i'l have to take steriods to reduce the inflammation.

Does anyone know what the chances are of me actually being able to pass the medical if i was to get that far?

Presumably I need to inform NATS asap?

Thanks in advance for any info
