Australian airlines need to catch up with modern times

Charge your toys.

Haven't been on a 767 for a few months but was on a 73NG last week to Darwin and back - screens in overhead compartments flip down and you are then at the mercy of the person(s) who programmes movies / shows. I have to say I was not impressed with the choice of movies last week (including Dinner for Jerks - what are they thinking????) Thankfully I had a good book to pass the 4 hours each way. Also location and light reflections made the screen difficult to see.

The 767 trip was similar - but from memory it had the old CRT screens suspended under the comparements.

No personal entertainment systems. Are we in the 20th Century still with inflight entertainment in Australia?

Or, you could try another carrier that has screens in each seat and you get to swipe your credit card for the privilige of many channels of rubbish (except one or two).
