Actually what I meant by 8 years is that I have 3 years of college and another 4 years of university plus one more years spared out to pick up myself. Getting all the ratings and certificates are way too hard for me. First, because I am in HK, and their aren't flying schools for me to get anything after PPL I suppose. Next, I don't think I can afford the time and money to get all the ratings and risk for a job in the states or Canada, before getting all schooling finished...If I do, I'll be 30+ before i get to anything. So the most straight forward way to be a pilot is looking for a job in Cathay Pacific, joining their Cadet Pilot programme and get all the exams done free and be a captain approx 15 years later~!!! That looks too good for me>. But hard to imagine if it goes as smoothly as what i think might happen...bla~~

I am just trying to pick up more information to see how I should plan my future`
