This helps solves an annual problem for RYR. Their pilots are limited to 100 hours a month and 900 hours a year. Therefore they fly to the limit for 9 months and take 3 months off. RYR have always been short of pilot duty time in the winter and regularly park up 737s. Obviously this year they decided that pulling out of BOH helped them in more ways than one!
Not true in the slightest, a lot of the pilots have been moved abroad to foreign bases such as Barcelona.
If Ryanair come back, which they will, then Bournemouth will be busy again and making money, if Ryanair stay away, then others will come in.
