October Passenger Figures
Just released by the CAA show that the provisional passenger figures for October were 821,561 a 1.3 per cent increase over October 2009. This is the first monthly increase for many months. The rolling annual figure is 8,720,147 down 5.4 per cent.
This means that Edinburgh has overtaken Luton as the fifth busiest passenger airport in the UK. The difference is passenger numbers is just over 6,000.
Air Transport movement for Luton in October were down 3.9 per cent on the corresponding period last year.
