No professional journalist would copy information from PPrune, any more than they would from Wikipedia. Its posters are anonymous and it lacks credibility. How can anyone rely on the information here when it's populated as much by 15-year old Microsoft 'pilots' and people who know little about the industry as it is by qualified crew?
Professional journalism - those who understand it - is about credibility. Only a numbskull would lift posts wholesale from here without checking their accuracy.
Citing an anonymous web forum, as if it's gospel, is the height of unprofessionalism. If you don't know who the poster is, how on earth can you assign any credibility? Hell, I could have put up that list of Qantas faults, and I know sod all.
Nothing wrong with using the information here as a starting point, but if you can't be bothered to do your job as a journalist and check the information is reliable, then you can count me out as a reader.
