Incidentally the turning circle at Cork was widened some years ago. Does Aerlingus still have the ban on 330's using Cork ? Not a problem for Monarch, Air Luxor, My travel among others. A very senior Aerlingus captain now retired told me he couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. Sounds like a minor adjustment is needed if any. Could the Cork Airport Authority look into this as you never know when it might be needed? Maybe a Munster Rugby charter. It'd be a lot cheaper than positioning an aircraft from the UK or the Continent.
