Avitor, any carrier with a fleet the size of Qantas is having these sorts of failures from time to time. Some years ago the in flight shutdown rate for QF was significantly less than the world average. Perhaps it still is. At the moment the microscope is on QF so you're hearing about them more than perhaps you did in the past.
