Essentially dumping all their marginal routes, streamlining the company, re-hiring select employees at a heavy discount but still using the 89 year old name Mexicana which is invaluable from a marketing/sales perspective. They would be no different than Volaris or Interjet.
Mexicana always had 6 months to find investor money which expires in January before the inevitable liquidation. When I speak with those close to the situation, it sounds shaky that this deal will produce a resurrection. My thoughts go out to those affected.
