It is true that some of the smaller airlines are paying 1st year FO's $25 ,000 U.S. pa, however last time I was in Darwin the price of everything was OBSCENE !. I would be in the states tomorrow if I was offered such a job. A 4 bed house with a pool is only $150,000 in most states compared to 500 - 600,000 minimum in Darwin.
Not to mention food, cars etc which are half the price in the states.
