Why is it so hard to get the spelling of "lose" and "loose" sorted out? You 'Lose" an engine not "Loose" it....

It drives me INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cos not everyone's first language is English, particularly in this industry?
