oapilot - I am comparing final prices. We tend to either have a lot of baggage or none at all so not sure there is any rhyme or reason to it.
I have never had a bad flight with either, it is a personal thing rather like the difference between driving two equally good cars one just makes you feel better than the other, another person may have the opposite view.
If I have sat on a long haul aircraft for almost ten hours (YVR usually) all I want to do is get home and it does put me off having to land at Plymouth on the way back.
Bottom line is I would choose the airline which was most reasonable and that flew at the right schedule to suit my needs.
