Really, that's amazing, why machined, isn't the skin formed from sheet into the correct curvature?
It's not curvature that's the issue. The panel is 25+mm thick at one end and <5mm at the other. The only way to get that change is to machine it from a plate that starts of 25+mm thick everywhere.
