Windows 7 64bit install issues.

Hi,

I am trying to install Windows 7 64 on to my PC.

I have:

ASUS M3N78-VM motherboard
500GB Samsung HDD
AMD dual core clocked at 2.8Ghz
4GB RAM

i also have a dvd drive and a couple of fans.

It is a pretty basic system at the moment and i am having some huge problems getting onto Win7 64bit.

I have run the install many times and i am constantly getting a boot up failure, if it is because the registry is corrupt or the BootMGR is missing.

I have tried to repair the startup using the CD with no success.

I have also tried to use the command prompt to copy the BootMGR file to the C drive (where its installed).

after that it would give me the option to load Win7 normally which i would select. Unfortunately, that only led me to the blue screen of death followed by a restart.

Can anyone help?

Thank you for you time.
