Nowadays the starting salary for a LCC RHS jet job is significantly below ADF rates (after serving minimum 10 years return of service) so there is virtually no current financial incentive to leave the ADF for a jet job in Australia - if so it is becoming pretty much a lifestyle choice to leave, with preferred options being better paying overseas carriers.
