i'd say no harm done, but do what the manual says because if you wait too long then the battery will start to get depleted. it doesn't take long.
one thing i was taught when i got my first endorsement on a turbine (a 500D) was on your walk around - which everyone does before each start i know
- was to turn the tail backwards which verified that the turbine is not locked up before you go to start it.
