Well if the reported deal India did on the P8 is accurate i.e. 8 a/c plus support training ect until 2019 (2014/15 ISD) for $2.1 billion that is the equivalent of just operating the MRA4 for 7 years let alone buying the a/c. They also get a more Multi Mission a/c and access to a large supply base with US commonality and a possible SIGINT capability to follow. I don’t think anyone will touch MRA4 as it can’t compete with that even though it is/would have been a better pure MPA aircraft.
