OK, after 13 months of living on bread and water (ok, that's an exaggeration) to get my NPPL, I was chuffed to bits today to finally receive those bits of paper from the CAA that let me go flying and (more importantly) take friends and family for a bimble.
However, the bits of paper were only accompanied by a skimpy clear plastic wallet - not the brown wallet affair that everyone else I know seems to have received with theirs.
I might be naive, but I thought the CAA were immune to this kind of austerity?
