Had a mate give me feedback on his assessment day last week. He said the aptitude test have been shortened. For anyone who went through CTC selection it is now basically the final hand-eye co-ordination test with a bit of multi-tasking. From memory this was keep the cross bars centralised and watch out for shapes of a certain colour, while listening to a numerical sequence and hit the button when the shape appears/changes and when the numerical sequence alters. You get scored on hits and misses. Thats it for the aptitudes. The numerical and the verbal reasoning tests are still in there. The interview lasted 20 mins and was standard stuff. And they finished off with a group discussion which was also fairly brief. So no great suprises.

Of more interest was the chat over lunch where the recruitment team told the applicants that BA are actually looking to recruit around 250 into the company in the near future, so the initial 80 is just the tip of the iceberg. The arrival of the A380 and the 787 will take alot of guys already in the company onto those fleets so a big wave of recruitment of new starters onto the short haul fleet is expected. In otherwords now is a good time to be getting in...

Good luck guys.
