A Remos G3 is what's known in the US as a "Light Sport Aircraft" or LSA.
MTOW 1340lbs which is 600kgs which is higher then the European Ultralight/Microlight which is MTOW 450kgs.

Other question is the limitations of flying a LSA for your time building.
What will this add to your experience if anything?
Does it have the equipment to fly airways, track VOR's, NDB's?

By US regulation, LSA's are slow, they'll struggle to get out of their own way.
Not only that, have a look at things like Vno and flaps extension speeds.
These things are not very popular at larger airports since they can't keep their speed up to fit in with other traffic.

Cheaper is not always better as you suggested yourself.
Ask yourself the following questions:

Do I want to doodle around the airport during calm days?
Do I want to fly long distance and visit bigger and busier airports?
