I agree with Firecat. If and where possible, do not work for Qantas but make Qantas work for you ! If you can squeeze, extract, milk, fiddle, rort or bleed anything extra out of the place go for it. In the very least if that doesn't make you rich it will at least make you feel satisfied. Every move or action you take should be aimed at feathering your own good and the good of the company comes last.
Management are leading by example - lining their own pockets at every corner so staff should do the same. And if you aren't in a position to do so then do everything you can to make sure management's pockets are hit hard. OTP bans should be implemented, no shift or roster extensions, do not try to minimise fuel burn or wear the same shirt twice or do a call-in, extra sickies and so the list goes. Do nothing above the absolute bare minimun... i'll drink to that !
