Cherokee 6's to Keppel, and paper runs to Brisbane and Mackay, coal miners to Blackwater, Seraji, Moranbah, Gladstone. Supply runs to Marble Island. Vets and Graziers to Monte Christo, Foxleigh, Grasstree, Woongarra, Ohio, Tartrus, Laurinel, Rockwood, Wilpeena, Junee, Balcomba, Doonmabulla, Albinia. Flights during the floods with a door off for the cameraman, up the inland route Highway to film all the cars stranded between the flooded bridges. Miners out from Blackwater before Christmas, and because the Dawson was still over the bridge, back the other way in January. Good fun, but the two other young guys I shared a house at Pink Lily with, died later in aircraft accidents.
