I hope AAA are still doing JAA stuff 3 years from now. I have a plane-mad 14 year old son who I said I would send him there when he gets to 17, for a PPL and maybe other stuff.
I am sure a few months in California is not a bad deal at 17
But it will be a poor strategy to do an FAA PPL
only by then - as indeed it is today.
