I've just purchased a Jeppesen VFR Flight Manual which came as a loose leaf package. It was pictured inside a binder so I assumed that a binder would be included - however it wasn't.
No problem I thought, I shall buy one. Had a quick look on the internet and was amazed to see how much they cost. What appears to be a completely standard plastic A5 ring binder
costs almost £20! Only difference being that Jeppesen use 7 rings. Now I wouldn't call myself tight, but I do object to being blatently ripped off. So I decided to look for a compatible one from another brand.
I am having difficulty however in establishing which binders my Flight Manual will fit. It has 7 holes punched but there are very few 7 ring binders on the market. I am also unsure whether the holes would line up with a 4 ring binder.
I've come across
this, which is a 7 ring Aerad binder, and
this, which is an old style 4 ring Jeppesen binder, but I don't know if they will fit.
So, could anyone please advise as to whether either of these binders would be suitable, or any other binders for that matter.
(PS I live in the UK - I see that ASA sell some in the US but I can't find any over here)
