Instructors never have any change for coffee, or anything else for that matter (it used to be in the pre-JAR AOPA AFI syllabus)
, ideally you should have bought some kind of meal, or at least a snack as well. Did you not know FI's are all paupers, putting their lives on the line to prevent you from killing yourself every flight
