I can not be certain, but didn't Keith Jones achieve the only successful night ditching of an AEW3 Gannet? A staggering piece of skill/luck by all accounts!!! Please correct my ageing memory if I am wrong.
Yes: but Keith's worst experience was being subsequently winched/dragged through the water by Bushy Shrub, CO of 824NAS. Scrambled at night straight from the bar, it was one of the low lights of a singularly dismal command of a Front Line ASW Squadron
