Interesting article PaperTiger.
I live a little offset from directly under UL9 and Heathrow out-bounds, and their 'enhancements,' are clearly discernible WITHOUT magnification aids.
ANY A/C fitted with zip-tips, (not fence-tips), are identifiable and something as big as a 777 with said fitted would be clearly visible even at cruising altitude.
On review, however, the tail fin was 'thicker' at the bottom leading me to the conclusion that the 'equipment' must have been substituted for flight AAL87.
The SBS interprets the actual A/C and it's unique data so it's an enigma why it displayed the A/C type as a 777.
