I have just got my PPL with Abbas Air at Compton Abbas (EGHA) its a great place to learn, and the flying isn't too expensive (PA-28 = £116 ph). I did mine as a residential over the summer. They put you up in the farmhouse at the end of the airfield and you get a full english breakfast every morning, useful before those nav trips. If you want anymore info just email me
