As we here in Oman are about to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the ruling sultan, I was wondering how many fantastic pictures there must be out there taken in the last few decades by numerous expats who served in the SOAF, Royal flight, or Royal Oman police.
Of particular interest to me (as I service them) would be pics of construction work on some of the repeater sites in the mountains, that were built utilising Bell 205's and 214st.
Several of the places we go to could only be described as "scary" to say the least, especially with u/s loads up to 10,000ft.
There must also be an un-tapped source of photo's from the Dhofar day's of the early 70's which would be priceless.
