The idea that Shell is bad mouthing a major contractor to justify a risky and flawed contract award really is repugnent.

It is ironic the contract started the same day as a change in leadership at bp after a major disaster. One can only wonder whose head will roll after this clusterf"c£. I believe the Shell manager who chose the 155 and 328 was at least forced out even though he had the sense to use a competent operator. I just hope no one will die from the current mess.

How Shell Aircraft can pontificate about safety while jumping to an untried joint venture of very dubious parentage, with an aircraft that is not as modern as the other type they were offered?

Clearly Shell are just spewing mindless retoric.

Will Shell pull out entirely.
Perhaps they will then cut some aviation deadwood in Lagos and Rotterdam.
