Sorry Guys (and Gals), but Japan is technically in recession, and the Japanese are very nationalistic. With the virtual demise of the flag carrier, JAL, there will be many Japanese pilots out of work, and the ministry of labour (labor in the US) will not tolerate J pilots out of work whilst there are foreign pilots working here. So there will be a slow but sure programme to renounce work permits, cancel visas etc., until the situation is resolved. Right now we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. Air Japan, Skymark.....
