After a return flight from brussels to egypt yesterday we landed in EDDK (Cologne) (many compliments to the ground handling there).
I heard that one of the contributing factors that Belgocontrol is close to bankrupcy because they don't charge any ATC fees on the regional airports (ie Liege, Charleroi, Ostend, Antwerp). So all the income comes from the traffic at EBBR... I see now why some call the belgians dumb...
