The MIL 10 Helicopter shown on the cover of the March 1967 edition flew into Redhill Aerodrome to demonstrate to Bristows.
The visit was memorable for seeing all the fertilizer that had been spread on the airfield, be blown in huge white clouds, drift away, and land all over South Nutfield village!!
When asked technical questions about the aircraft, the crew (probably KGB) knew nothing about anything!!
It was a serious piece of Russian airborne agricultural machinery, massively over engineered, and resembled a ship with its anchor handling winch standing in the middle of the deck.
Needless to say, Bristows were not interested.
