But the bigger picture here is are you really going to accept the offer of 28k having fronted the money for the TR. Yes they may pay it back over time, but you will have a 7.5K interest bill to pay over that time.
Any I 'assume' they will renew your contract for the following summer - or is a perm arrangement?
It maybe an EasyJet one season deal in sheeps clothing....leaving you with a 23K bill.
