Well every proper state/country has an official airline and I suppose that it would be good if northern Ireland had a carrier. However, pretty much any routes worth anything have been covered and I suppose that technically, you could consider Aer Lingus as an unofficial carrier of Northern Ireland. But providing there are connections to a bigger hub, which both Belfast airports have, there isn't the demand going for a viable operation to start.
