Arrow Is the nearest thing to a Gliding forum?

Any advice from our engine-shunning brothers and sisters appreciated....

I'm based in Dorset but am doing all my powered flight and ratings in Canada, for many reasons. However, whilst I am getting a whole lot more flying for my pound, it is leaving me with long spells of inactivity between North American sojourns.

I have been thinking about gliding as something to keep me entertained in the interim, and also provide a different (cost-effective?) outlook on aviation (as well as presumably providing more confidence and experience in an engine-out situation).

Anyone who has ANY useful advice/links/info on South Coast clubs, I'd like to hear from you (especially if you indulge in both powered and unpowered flight).

Many thanks,

SSS
