Forget the 45 mins.....that is a load of old BooŁo from the world of make believe.
In the good old days I ( as TRI/TRE) could do a (UK CAA) check ride in that time in a Hawker, easy.
Todays world is different, (unless the TRE/TRI is your brother), allow the 2 hours, unless LHS and RHS then add 20 mins extra.
I have just "done" a ( JAA) G550 LPC/OPC, and that took a total of 3h30 in the sim, but did include Cat 2 (25 mins), plus RHS (30 mins).
Dont know how much the TRTO charged, but as they say not my problem.
So budget for 2 hours, plus TRE/TRI, and airport related charges, and should be close to the mark.
