Feather #3 mentioned something I was going to mention. The idea isn't new. I've signed a couple of 'bonds'. One as a cadet and then another when I started.

I think the one as a cadet was for about $50K if I didn't accept the job offer when it was given and had about three years on it and then the one when I joined which in early '95 was for either $20K or $25K, I don't remember which because leaving wasn't in my short term plans.

QF isn't for everyone but it is a pretty good job and if you looking for 'stability' and decent conditions when compared to the rest of Australia then it isn't too bad. If you are after 'worlds best standards' with regard to pay and associated issues then I'm afraid that you may be sorely dissappointed with QF.

If you after $$$ then it could be worse, you could be flying with Virgin!
